The Safari enjoyed cracking a crackin view of Saturn last night...if you've never seen it it's well worth it at the mo...having said that it was clear and therefore quite frosty in the morning with frozen puddles on garage roof.
Frank didn't want to go far as usual and played anchor.
If sitting anchor isn't solid enough how about lying down anchor - certainly going nowhere fast.
Before breakfast a call from the Rangers had us leaping out of our pit grabbing the bins and looking in vain for an Osprey that was heading towards Base Camp - didn't pick it up, the gulls were no help. Out in the garden a Jackdaw flew eastwards inland 31st species for the garden - we learnt later that CR had had one actually DOWN in his garden...that's never happened at Base Camp.
Whilst having breakfast we heard a big clamour from the gulls and again we grabbed the bins and dashed outside...again nothing...in the garden this time were 5 Greenfinches and a Swallow (32) bombed through.
We chummed down some gulls with a blob of stale bread on garage roof and tried to fire off some action shots - they were very wary being able to see us hiding behind the blinds. Not the greatest success...Here comes one now...a bit too distant
And there it goes...
Nearly missed it...probably woulda been crisper through cleaner double glazing.
Where to next? Only the chance of a short safari tomorrow but a river may be on the cards.
In the meantime let us know what was missed overhead in your outback

More chance of Jackdaw and osprey fighting in your base camp than there is of moving Frank :-)
Not wrong there Warren, he's becoming as immoveable as an immoveable object!
Cheers
