Another page in the field guide is ripped out

The Safari went down saaarrff for few days and got another lifer, the third in three months and three days...CIRL BUNTING...only one regular breeding species in the UK not seen now.

More news later - we had a hold post written but the lap top had a 'moment' and lost the whole lot!

Also seen Stonechat (139), Swallow (140), Raven (141), Blackcap (142) and the Cirl Bunting (143).

Where to next? Back to the patches.

In the meantime let us now what's down south in your outback.

Great report from Prawle Point Dave - I enjoyed it, and you posted some beautiful photos.

What's going on with those kestrels though?

Whoops meant to post that comment on the April 5th post!

The comment meant for this post is that you're now two ticks ahead of me on the year list! I expect a few more spring arrivals in the coming weeks should help even things out.
