The Safari went back out as anticipated. Straight to the Butterfly Zone where yet again nothing was happening, so we had another mooch about in the rough field. Here's the limestony bit at the furthest end and the butterfly-less Birds Foot Trefoil. No sign of any Burnet moths cocoons stuck to the grass stems either.
There;s a healthy amount of Common Sorrel this 'summer'Crested Dog's Tail is starting to come in to flower.
Still on the search for White Letter Hairstreaks we found a fifth Speckled Wood and a rather splendid Red Admiral.
Where to next? The big question is will the mothy come out or not?
In the meantime let us know what's still missing from your outback.
