The Safari had a Sparrowhawk over Base Camp on leaving the front door but nothing else of note on a very short Patch 1 jaunt.
Devoid summed up R'ouzel Puddle!
Patch 2 scored with a good count of Sanderling on the low tide at 171, 2 Grey Plovers flew past and a dozen Gannets were here and there.
At lunchtime we struggled to find anything until we hit on a few white dots in the distance. Concentrating hard we got a dozen or so Gannets and a Great Black Backed Gull - plenty of activity but far to far away to see anything else.
Between these times we later discovered the lads had seen the following
Arctic Skua 2, 2+ Little Terns, a Fulmar and 65 Gannets - Pretty good fare for a light southerly wind! But where'd they disappear too?
Where to next? The pond could be in play tomorrow depending on the weather of course.
In the meantime let us know who hit the jackpot in your outback.
Sorry no pics today, camera never got a chance to leave the bag :-(
