A lost day

The Safari hasn't been able to get out today. Earlyish this morning Frank had his hydrotherapy swimming session so that put paid to getting out before breakfast which was slightly annoying as SD had found a Wood Warbler at the nature reserve, a really good find there, that we'd liked to have seen/heard/found ourselves. It's on our nature reserve list but it must be at least 20 years since we had one there, but we couldn't get out until well out until well after lunchtime.
By that time the rain was persistent if not heavy and the temperature decidely on the cool side - it;s supposed to be early May, it felt more like early March! Now we were decidely disinclined to go out!
Making a brew we noticed that a Woodpigeon had been sitting on the Wisteria pergola almost all day since we came back from swimming and had hardly moved a muscle. Sneaking out with the camera we fired off a few shots without flushing it.
A bit windy
Here's looking a you kid
Think I saw you move!
A beautiful but sadly all to often overlooked bird. Just because it's common and more or less ubiquitous doesn't mean it should be ignored
Where to next? We might be late out tomorrow, doubt very much if we'll be able to get out early.
In the meantime let us know who's going nowhere in your outback.
