The Safari noted a bit of an outflux of Robins this morning, far fewer were heard ticking away in the still dark gardens.
A quick visit to Patch 2 didn't give us much. Out towards the shimmering, surely it wasn't heat haze it was freezing - cold haze? - was a line of 14 white things winging northwards, Shelducks?
A Red Throated Diver and the two Great Crested Grebes were still about. Mammals were represented by an intriguing roll which several minutes later turned in to a Grey Seal rather than a cetacean.
Too busy to do much else an no lunchtime session on the sea wall either...must have been very busy then!
Getting towards the bottom of the Aussie pics.
A gold nugget!Crazy leafhopper
Where to next? Hopefully we'll have a bit more time to give Patch 2 a better grilling tomorrow.
In the meantime let us know what's going for gold in your outback.
