You couldn't write it!

The Safari isn't a happy bunny!
The last couple of days during the 'weather' there have been four lifers and one year bird in the bay and we've hardly had a chance to get down to the prom.
This morning we learnt that the Red Throated Diver was still on the boating lake up the road so after chores we decided we'd take Frank up there and have a shuffy at it...it's a long time since we've had close views of a summer plumaged bird. So Frank was duely loaded in the Land Rover...amazingly the sun had come out and the car was hot inside so we wound down the windows...BANG the driver's window shattered in a huge explosion of glass as we approached the end of our street - 20 yards to the end of safari, beginning of nightmare!
Now we're stuck sat in waiting for the repair man late on a Friday arvo...and he can only do a temporary repair until Monday...marvelous.
Only wildlfe news is that we were out at the shops and while Wifey was getting the pies in the Safari 'n' Frank found a 4th instar Green Shield Bug on the floral display in the town centre, and the Peregrine was on the tower this morning shelering from the heavy drizzle.
More weather is on the way and once again we don't think we'll be able to get to the coast to see what gets blown in from the open ocean.
Where to next? Bed in a black depression we think...and for AussieGlen Frank might out in appearance over the next few days.
In the meantime let us know if anything has gone bang in your outback.
