Desperate times

The Safari reckons the weather is bad when this character appears in late June...

We were at a Civic Trust event which should have been held outside in the square but the weather put paid to that. Try hanging on to all this display stuff in a Force 6 gusting between the buildings...

We were put in the dungeons well away from passing public. And pass the public did...upstairs was a  craft fair where one of our friends was selling her handmade wares to the passing hordes.
Meanwhile outside the wind howled and the gale raged and, very typically in these conditions at this time of year, two Storm Petrels were seen on Patch 2 with others just to the north and from the South-side...drat, drat and double drat!
Today the wind has dropped and so another chance to complete our list of all the regular UK breeding species is missed...now we don't want summer but another howling gale...soon!
Where to next? Out this arvo and so back later hopefully with news of things most interesting...we'll see!
In the meantime let us know what's bypassed you in your outback.
